Irfan Bachdim

Irfan Bachdim an Indonesian football player who currently plays club football for Indonesia, Malang Persema. His father, Noval Bachdim, is Indonesian, while his mother is Dutch.

He started his career for Ajax, but moved to the side Hoofdklasse SV Argon after 3 years. He became the leading scorer in the league, despite his position as quarterback. FC Utrecht scouted him and took him to FC Utrecht. He is the first choice in team FC Utrecht Junior and sometimes play for the reserves. He made his debut for FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie on February 17, 2008, playing 90 minutes against VVV-Venlo.

When the Indonesian national team under-23 training in the Netherlands, Irfan included in the team, but he injured a week before going to the Asian Games 2006.

In July 2009 he signed for HFC Haarlem in the free transfer deal. In March 2010 he did a trial at Liverpool Persib Bandung and Jakarta, but none of the contracts they signed him.

Bachdim desire to play in Indonesia is finally a reality. Officially, the 22-year players joining  Persema Malang. The signing of the contract itself is conducted in the Mess Persema.

In the play he can occupy various positions, he can occupy the position of striker, midfielder or wing. Irfan follow in the footsteps of his father, who as a football player Noval Bachdim in Persema Malang in the 80s. His family of her father is still living in Lawang, Malang.

Irfan is currently incorporated in the Indonesian national team Alfred Riedl care for AFF Cup 2010. Indonesia’s first debut with the national team he was starting when the national team 6-0 in friendly match against East Timor, in Kilkenny on November 21, 2010. And on December 1, 2010 he scored one goal and brings the day’s injury time Indonesia won 5-1 over Malaysia in their opening match AFF Cup 2010 and scored one goal while Indonesia beat Laos 6-0.
